This event featured representatives from various Environment Focused Organizations.  Guest speakers included:

Tom Dwonch

A University of California Graduate that has gone on to work in Landscape Architecture, Land Management, as well as worked with the Corps of Engineers for 28 years.  Since 2005 Tom has been with the Blue Mountain Land Trust, and now holds the title of Executive Director; www.bmlt.org

Jonathan Lewis

After 16 years in the electrical trade, Jonathan started putting up small wind systems and solar electric modules, and in 2003 founded Seraphim Energy.  He has dedicated his firm to the possibilities of independence created by distributed power generation; www.seraphimenergy.com

Jenna Bicknell

Outdoor excursions with elementary school science teachers kindled Jenna's interest in environmental issues and education.  A graduate of the Whitman College Environmental Studies Program, she has served as the Executive Director of the Sustainable Living Center since 2008; www.sustainablelivingcenter.com

 

Jennie Dickinson

After serving 8 years as the Executive Director of the Dayton Chamber of Commerce, Jennie has gone on to serve the last two years as the Manager of the Port of Columbia.  In addition, she has undertaken the creation of a business development strategy called Blue Mountain Station, an eco-industrial park to house organic and sustainable food processors; www.portofcolumbia,com, www.bluemountationstation.com

Anne Walsh

Having worked in the southeast Washington wind energy industry for 8 years, Anne is currently the Sr. Environmental and Communications Manager for Puget Sound Energy's Hopkins Ridge Wind Energy Facility.  Her experience includes community outreach, landowner relations, and environmental compliance for developing and operating wind energy projects.  Anne also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Blue Mountain Community Foundation and the Dayton Chamber of Commerce; www.pse.com
