Jan Corn

Jan is a Walla Walla native with almost 40 years in the industry. Starting as a Salon Manager before opening Impress in 1998 gave Jan the opportunity to grow and learn the business from all sides of the chair. She is not only devoted to the industry, but to her community. Dedicated to giving back, continually learning, and advancing her skills. She has worked as a Stylist, a Manager, and now an Owner. Jan regularly attends TIGI Advanced Academy training in New York, is a Rotary Club Member, and remains excited about work each and every day.

Maria Garcia

Maria has specialized in both traditional and avant-garde styling for almost 20 years. Her work ranges from the everyday, traditional to fantasy hair. After graduating in 1994 in Mexico, she taught classes at the academy then owned her own salon. Since moving to the United States, she continues her love of both hair design and spa services, while continuing to improve and grow her skills. Maria has attended TIGI Advanced Ac ademy training in New York.

Tami Olmstead

Tami started her career over 30 years ago. Since then, she has taught and performed platform work, is an avid believer in Education, and staying on the cutting edge of techniques. Tami has attended Advanced Education with both Pivot Point in Chicago and at the TIGI Academy in New York.

Jim Gaffrey

Jim is a Walla Walla icon, as he has been a part of the local industry for over 25 years. Enjoying all levels of the business from teaching to ownership, he continues a dedication to Advanced Training. A Barber through and through, Jim has loved his career since day one, and teaches a Barbering Program to continue the tradition.

Kymbra Dillard

Kymbra is fresh to the industry after recently graduating from HairTech Beauty Academy. She comes to work with an energy that’s contagious. She loves to do haircuts, haircolor and makeup, and is excited about learning and growing both her client base and skill set.

Marisa Loyd

Marisa has an excitement for hair that started at a very young age. After receiving her cosmetology degree, she purchased her own small salon. Marisa joins us with advanced training from both Seattle and Boise. She enjoys perms, color, haircuts and updos, and bringing enthusiasm to everything she does.

Sierra Zamora

Sierra brings her upbeat eagerness to work with her, providing individual looks, innovative styling, and unique color applications. Still fresh in the industry, she has managed to attend several Advanced Education Classes. Ranging from Modern Classic Colour, to Modern Classic Cuts, and Hands-on Colour. Sierra has attended several TIGI Advanced Academy training classes in New York and is an Exchange Club Member.

Derek Burkeen

Derek has recently joined our team as front desk receptionist and staff photographer, while working towards a career in hair design. He has a passion for all things creative, and has done editorial photography at the Allied Beauty Association hair show in Toronto, ON.

Sharon Schmatt

Sharon is a firm believer in better late than never. Her career in Hair Design may have been her second calling, but it remains her first love. She has been with the Impress for over 10 years, and remains dedicated to her existing clients and to continually finding new ones. Sharon is our in-house greeter, positive thinker, and upbeat team player.

Melissa McCowen

Melissa is a graduate of Glen Dow Academy of Hair Design. She specializes in Hair Design; Cut & Creative Color, Makeup and Formal Hairstyles. Melissa has a creative mind, a great eye, and loves what she does. She’s done hair and makeup for the Miss Spokane, Miss Teen Spokane, and a production at the Liberty Theatre in Dayton.

Jessica Acosta

Jessica has joined the team from Utah where she received her education specializing in Medical and Advanced Esthetics. With the addition of an Esthetician to the team, Jessica brings an emphasis of the health and wellness of the skin and body. She specializes in a wide range of spa services and enjoys helping those around her. To further her training, Jessica has also attended the Las Vegas International Esthetic Convention.
